  11/ Jordan Concludes Participation in Asian Youth Games with 13 Medals

Amman, Oct. 31 (Petra)-- The Jordanian delegation has concluded its participation in the third edition of the Asian Youth Games, held over the past two weeks in Manama, the capital of Bahrain.

Team Jordan achieved an impressive total of 13 medals 2 gold, 2 silver, and 9 bronze across various sports disciplines.

The two gold medals came through the national equestrian team, consisting of riders Taimour Olsrim, Ghazi Al-Aboura, Iman Al-Daghstani, and Mohammad Abu Hammour, in the show jumping event, and Muay Thai athlete Rayan Ahmad.

The two silver medals were secured by the national esports team Mohammad Muslim, Ali Al-Far, Adam Abdullah, and Yazan Amirah in the Rocket League 3v3 competition, and taekwondo player Abdullah Shaheen.

Meanwhile, nine bronze medals were won by the following athletes: Taekwondo: Ahmad Rababah, Rania Taqatqa, Lama Al-Baqour, Fatima Al-Abdallat, and Zeinab Baseela, Beach Wrestling: Zaid Naghouj, Boxing: Mo’taz Al-Masha’la, Mixed Martial Arts: Suleiman Al-Shiyab
Muay Thai: Selena Al-Hayek.

The Jordanian delegation to the Games comprised 120 male and female athletes, representing handball, volleyball, mixed martial arts, taekwondo, basketball, Muay Thai, golf, boxing, athletics, triathlon, cycling, esports, swimming, wrestling, judo, jiu-jitsu, equestrian, camel racing, and kurash.

It is worth noting that Jordan had previously won only three medals across the first two editions of the Asian Youth Games earned by squash player Mohammad Al-Saraj and taekwondo athletes Anas Al-Awrani and Rania Al-Fawa’erah.
