Amman, Oct. 28 (Petra) – The Syrian-Jordanian Joint Technical Committee for Land Transport convened in Damascus on Tuesday to discuss the state of the two countries' transport sector and ways to strengthen cooperation and integration in this vital field.

According to a Ministry of Transport statement, the meetings addressed mechanisms to enhance passenger and freight transport systems, overcome challenges facing cross-border movement, and explore opportunities to boost cooperation in railway transport to ensure smoother logistics and greater trade exchange.

Secretary-General of the Ministry of Transport, Fares Abu Diah, who headed the Jordanian delegation, highlighted the importance of strengthening bilateral cooperation in land transport, a key driver of economic and trade relations.
