2/ Warm Autumn Day Tuesday, Followed by Mild, Pleasant Midweek Weather
Amman, Oct. 28 (Petra) -- A touch of autumn warmth will mark Tuesday’s weather before milder, pleasant conditions settle in midweek, according to the Jordan Meteorological Department. On Tuesday, temperatures will rise 4 to 6 degrees Celsius above the seasonal average, bringing moderate conditions to most regions and relatively warm weather around the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba. Light easterly winds will prevail, shifting to northwesterly in the evening. A cooler air mass will move in on Wednesday, dropping temperatures slightly and bringing mild weather over the highlands and moderate conditions elsewhere. High, thin clouds will appear across the sky, with northeasterly to northwesterly winds blowing at a moderate speed. Thursday and Friday will feature steady, comfortable autumn weather, with mild days, cool evenings, and scattered high clouds. Northeasterly to northwesterly winds will remain moderate, occasionally active over open areas. Temperature readings for Tuesday show highs and lows of 30 and 16 degrees Celsius in East Amman, 28 and 14 in West Amman, 27 and 13 in the northern highlands, and 28 and 11 in the Sharah highlands. In desert areas, temperatures will range between 32 and 15 degrees, while the plains are expected to record 29 and 15 degrees. The northern Jordan Valley will see 35 and 20 degrees, compared to 35 and 25 degrees in the southern Jordan Valley.
