6/ JFDZ Launches Campaign to Regulate Stalls, Enhance Visitor Experience at Dead Sea
Amman, Nov. 27 (Petra) – The Jordan Free and Development Zones Group (JFDZ) launched a large-scale campaign to regulate informal stalls and vendors from the main streets of the Dead Sea area. According to a statement issued by the group on Thursday, the group has allocated an organized alternative location for kiosk owners and small businesses on a beachfront area managed by the Sweimeh Municipality. The site is situated near essential facilities and services, enabling vendors to continue operating legally and safely while improving the quality of services provided to visitors. The group said the campaign, implemented with the relevant authorities, is part of a broader plan to enhance the Dead Sea’s environment and visitor experience while balancing tourist-area development with the preservation of local livelihoods, ensuring a sustainable setting that reflects the site’s unique status and supports regional economic and social development. //Petra// AJ
