23/ QRF wins WISE Prize for Education for "Read to Me" App

Amman, November 27 (Petra) – Queen Rania Foundation for Education and Development (QRF) ranked 2nd in the WISE Prize for Education, which recognizes innovation and excellence in the education sector, for its "Iqrali -Read to Me" project.

The project aims to empower parents to cultivate a passion for reading in Arabic in their children from an early age.

According to a QRF statement, this recognition came after the "Read to Me" app was selected from among more than 400 nominated educational institutions worldwide.

To achieve goals, QRF collaborated with WISE Prize for Education to develop a digital educational solution that strengthens the bond between children and reading and immerses parents in the early learning experience.

The free "Read to Me" app offers parents a "comprehensive" experience by providing appropriate e-books for children under 6-years old, interactive activities, and information based on the best learning research.

The app, launched in a pilot version, also features an AI-powered smart assistant that answers parents' questions, suggests educational activities, and creates stories tailored to children, which contribute to developing their language and cognitive skills in "a fun and effective way."

The QRF CEO, Basem Saad, expressed pride in this recognition, which honors a vision, which "we are daily working to achieve and aims to ensuring every child receives a quality education from their earliest years."

Saad said the 'Read to Me' app aims to "bring reading back to every home and help parents make reading to their children a daily habit from early childhood. This award is an opportunity to expand our impact and reach millions of children in our region, giving them the start they deserve."

The statement added that the milestone is an extension of the foundation's efforts to promote a culture of reading in Arabic and develop innovative educational solutions.

The QRF said these steps focus on supporting parents and empowering their role in early childhood, which would enhance opportunities for effective learning in Arabic.
