31/ University of Jordan, BDC launch first-of-its-kind employment platform in Middle East
Amman, Nov. 26 (Petra) The University of Jordan’s School of Business, in cooperation with the Business Development Center (BDC), has launched the Evorole employment platform and the Maharat (Skills) training program aimed at enhancing Jordanian youth employability. BDC founder Nayef Stetieh said the platform the first of its kind in the Middle East with a focus on talent and competencies is designed to support all groups without restrictions on age or experience. He announced the center’s readiness to expand cooperation on practical and field training opportunities for university students. He noted that Maharat is a nonprofit, free program created to address the persistent gap in understanding modern labor market dynamics, which increasingly depend on advanced and continuously evolving skill sets. Stetieh highlighted ongoing training cooperation with the university, including the establishment of a permanent training hall at the School of Engineering. Dean of the School of Business Samer Dahiyat stressed the faculty’s commitment to empowering students and ensuring they are equipped for emerging labor market needs. He underscored the importance of shifting from traditional academic approaches to competency- and skills-based education. Evorole representative Aws Shuqeir delivered a presentation detailing how the platform operates and the services it provides. He said the platform aims to connect qualified Jordanian youth with remote job opportunities in global markets through artificial intelligence tools, while offering career guidance and support from a specialized team working to enhance users’ readiness and match them with suitable opportunities. The platform uses an intelligent system to evaluate and categorize skills and provides training pathways and tools to help users advance their professional capabilities. It also gives companies access to qualified talent and enables jobseekers to build precise competency profiles that expand their prospects in the labor market. //Petra// AF
