2/ Unstable Conditions to Bring Widespread Rain,  Thunderstorms on Tuesday

Amman, Nov. 25 (Petra) -- Unstable and slightly cool weather will dominate on Tuesday, with skies turning partly cloudy to cloudy and showers developing in parts of the western regions.

Some rainfall may become heavy at times, raising the risk of flash floods in valleys and low-lying areas, including the Jordan Valley and the Dead Sea. Thunder and occasional hail are also possible.

As the day moves on, rain spreads gradually to more areas at intervals. By evening and night, the chances of rain begin to ease, and conditions gradually stabilize. Winds will be northwesterly and moderate, picking up at times and stirring dust.

The Jordan Meteorological Department warns of reduced visibility this morning due to fog over high mountain areas and parts of the plains, along with the risk of flash floods, especially in western regions, and poor visibility from dust in desert areas. Slippery roads are also expected where rainfall occurs.

According to the Department’s forecast, Wednesday will bring more stable and slightly cool conditions, especially over the highlands, while the valley areas, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba see milder weather and some low clouds. Winds will be light and easterly.

Temperatures will rise slightly on Thursday, bringing pleasant conditions in most areas and mild weather toward the valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba. High clouds will appear at times, and southeasterly winds may become active enough to raise dust in desert regions. Another small increase is expected on Friday, accompanied by similar pleasant and mild conditions and occasional high clouds.

Tuesday’s temperatures range from 18 C–8 C in East Amman and 16 C–6 C in West Amman. The northern highlands are forecast at 15 C–5 C, while the Sharah highlands will see 14 C–5 C.

Desert regions are expected at 20 C–7 C and the plains at 19 C–8 C. In the Jordan Valley, temperatures will reach 26 C–14 C in the north and 28 C–17 C in the south, while the Dead Sea will record 26 C–18 C and Aqaba 28 C–17 C.
