New York, Nov. 24 (Petra) --The UN Security Council is scheduled to convene on Monday for its monthly open briefing on the situation in the Middle East, including the Palestinian question.

Ramiz Alakbarov, UN Deputy Special Coordinator for the Middle East Peace Process, is expected to deliver the briefing.

As customary, the Council will move into closed consultations following the public session.
