49/ 2 arrested for selling Jordan–Iraq match tickets on black market
Amman, May 28 (Petra) – The Public Security Directorate's spokesperson announced Wednesday that authorities have tracked and apprehended individuals involved in black market sales of tickets for the upcoming World Cup qualifier between Jordan and Iraq. The spokesperson said investigations led to the identification and arrest of two suspects behind several online accounts that were reselling tickets at significantly inflated prices. The individuals admitted to purchasing multiple tickets from the official platform using different national ID numbers and offering them for resale at multiples of the original cost. Authorities urged the public to avoid engaging with unauthorized resellers, warning that some may sell the same ticket to multiple buyers, exposing fans to potential fraud. The relevant departments continue to monitor and pursue any individuals advertising or attempting to sell match tickets illegally. //Petra// AF
