20/ Jordan Industrial Estates Company receives Chinese business delegation
Amman, May 28 (Petra) – The Jordan Industrial Estates Company (JIEC) on Wednesday hosted a delegation from the Arab Businessmen Forum in China, comprising representatives of several Chinese companies operating across various industrial sectors. According to a statement issued by the company, the delegation was briefed on the investment climate in the Kingdom, as well as the incentives and privileges provided within Jordanian industrial estates, in line with the memorandum of understanding signed between the JIEC and the forum. The delegation reviewed the Jordanian industrial estates’ experience and advanced expertise in establishing, developing, managing, and promoting industrial zones, as well as the investment incentives that have attracted numerous international companies to the Kingdom. The JIEC General Manager Omar Juwaid underlined the importance of the Arab Businessmen Forum’s role in strengthening economic cooperation between both sides, stressing that such efforts help familiarize the Chinese business community with the competitive investment environment in Jordan and the advantages that facilitate access to regional and global markets. Nader Shahrouri, a member of the forum and General Manager of Seven Seas Logistics Company in Jordan, stated that the visit was organized as part of a series of future delegations aimed at enhancing industrial and logistics cooperation between Jordan and China. He noted that these visits form part of systematic efforts to introduce Chinese companies to promising investment opportunities in the Kingdom and to ease their entry into the Jordanian market, particularly in light of the facilities and incentives offered by the country’s industrial estates. The memorandum of understanding between the Jordan Industrial Estates Company and the Arab Businessmen Forum in China includes cooperation on promoting the investment environment and opportunities within the industrial zones, conducting training programs for company personnel, building ties with relevant Chinese institutions, and organizing joint events and workshops to attract investment across the Kingdom’s governorates. //Petra// AJ
