24/ Jordan participates in 1st Arab Judicial Conference to introduce AI-supported litigation
Amman, May 8 (Petra) - Chief Justice Abdul Hafiz Rabtah took part in the activities of the First Arab Judicial Conference, currently held at the headquarters of the Arab Administrative Development Organization (ARADO) in Cairo, themed: "Challenges of Judicial Work and Capacity Building in Light of Artificial Intelligence." Attended by senior Arab judicial officials and legal and technical experts, the event aims to highlight the opportunities provided by artificial intelligence (AI) in developing judicial bodies and enhancing judicial efficiency. The participants went over ways to address the possible ethical and legal challenges from this transformation and study mechanism to build human capacity to deal with these new applications. The conference also discussed multiple key issues on the AI applications in judicial work and reviewed Arab and international experiences in this field . In a Chief Islamic Justice Department's statement, Rabtah's participation comes within the framework of the body's "commitment" to keep pace with rapid shifts and technologies in the areas of judicial development and review relevant Arab and global experiences. The statement added that this effort supports the "comprehensive" digital transformation process in the operations of the department and Jordan's Sharia courts, which would improve services, enhance judicial rulings, achieve full justice, and reduce litigation period. //Petra// AG
