  9/ Jordan's Oil Import Bill Falls 4.9% in Early 2025

Amman, May 7 (Petra) -- Jordan has seen a notable decrease in its spending on oil and related products, with the national import bill for crude oil, petroleum products, and mineral oils dropping 4.9% in the first two months of 2025.

According to data released by the Department of Statistics a, the Kingdom's total oil-related imports fell to JOD 485 million through February, down from JOD 510 million during the same period in 2024.

The figures show that fuel and mineral oils represented the largest category of petroleum imports at JOD 184 million, with crude oil following at JOD 144 million.

Diesel and gasoline imports amounted to JOD 76 million and JOD 72 million respectively. The country also imported JOD 6 million worth of lubricating oils and JOD 3 million in kerosene during this period.
