Bakkar added that the ministry also seeks to increase participation of people with disabilities in the labor market and integrate them into society to enjoy their "full privileges and rights." Bakkar noted the ministry is working to regulate the Kingdom's labor market by establishing an "accurate" database, in cooperation with several partners. The minister indicated that this effort eyes to achieve performance indicators that support decisions to increase job opportunities for Jordanians, reduce reliance on expatriate labor, and enable the private sector to achieve "sustainable" economic growth. On other fronts, he stated the ministry is working on several axes to recruit Jordanians by expanding its partnership with the private sector through the National Employment Programme, which provides wage subsidies to establishments that employ Jordanians aged 18-40 in all governorates across all economic sectors and activities. Additionally, he referred to establishment of academies that provide skill-based training for youth in certain sectors. //Petra// AG
