26/ PSUT, Chinese embassy talk AI cooperation
Amman, May 4 (Petra) – President of Princess Sumaya University for Technology (PSUT), Dr. Wijdan Abu Elhaija, on Sunday discussed with the Minister Counselor at the Chinese Embassy in Jordan, Gong Anmin, ways to enhance cooperation in the artificial intelligence (AI) fields and various computer science areas. During the meeting, Abu Elhaija reviewed the university's progress and achievements in academic and research fields, as well as extracurricular activities that contribute to honing students' skills. Abu Elhaija affirmed the university's "commitment" to strengthen its international partnerships and contributing to the development of innovation and business technology sectors, in line with directives of HRH Princess Sumaya bint El Hassan, Chair of the University's Board of Trustees, to achieve "global" academic integration. Meanwhile, Anmin expressed the "deep-rooted" Jordanian-Chinese relations, noting the Kingdom's "vital and pivotal" role in various fields. The diplomat also referred to ways to enhance joint cooperation within academic and research exchange programs. Praising the "high" level of the university's students, he noted PSUT's commitment to integrate technology across all disciplines and fields in a "pioneering and distinguished" manner. On the sidelines of the meeting, the accompanying delegation took part in a student dialogue on AI , which witnessed robust interaction. The Chinese delegation also checked PSUT's student projects in various disciplines, mainly computer science, engineering, and business technology, which reflected innovation and entrepreneurship.
