10/ Traffic Department rolls out plan during Eid Al-Fitr holiday

Amman, Mar. 28 (Petra)-- In order to guarantee efficient traffic flow and lessen congestion in different parts of the Kingdom, the Traffic Department unveiled the key components of its Eid Al-Fitr traffic plan, on Friday.

In an effort to control traffic and remove any obstructions that can obstruct it, the department clarified that the plan calls for the flexible and careful deployment of traffic inspectors around-the-clock, particularly in marketplaces and commercial meeting spots.

It affirmed that it is fully prepared to manage the anticipated traffic jams in the last few days of Ramadan and advised motorists to use detours when needed to relieve the strain on major thoroughfares.

The Traffic Department advised motorists to keep a safe distance between cars, refrain from driving while distracted, and avoid random and double-parking infractions.

With the goal to identify major infractions that would endanger other road users, it also suggested heightened traffic control through patrols and investigations. Additionally, more traffic investigation patrols were stationed on main thoroughfares and intersections.

To ensure smooth traffic flow and easy access for worshipers, the administration has indicated that it will strengthen traffic presence in front of houses of worship and prayer locations in advance of Eid prayer.
