Amman, March 26 (Petra) -- Interior Minister Mazen Faraya discussed on Wednesday with with German Interior Minister Nancy Faeser and Austrian Interior Minister Gerhard Karner in a meeting in Amman.

The ministers explored collaboration in security, combating organised crime and addressing refugee issues. They discussed enhancing future cooperation through the exchange of expertise among officials.

The meeting addressed developments in Syria, with an exchange of views on supporting the country in building state institutions and improving basic services and security. The aim is to establish stability in the region and facilitate the voluntary return of refugees to Syria.

The ministers emphasised the importance of ongoing consultation, coordination and collaborative efforts in various security fields, which would bolster security and stability in the region while advancing the mutual interests of their countries.
