  8/ Jordan University, American Arab University Forge Partnership for Medical Training

Amman, March 25 (Petra) -- The University of Jordan and the American Arab University in Palestine have entered into a strategic partnership to enhance clinical training opportunities for medical students.

The agreement, signed on Monday, will allow medical students from the American Arab University to receive clinical training at the University of Jordan Hospital, ensuring they meet the highest academic and medical standards.

The agreement was signed by Dr. Nathir Obeidat, President of the University of Jordan, and Dr. Bara' Asfour, President of the American Arab University, in the presence of senior officials from both institutions.

Dr. Obeidat emphasized the significance of the collaboration, noting that it would enrich the educational and training experiences for medical students at both institutions. He highlighted that the clinical training at the University of Jordan Hospital would offer students access to an advanced medical educational environment, in line with the latest developments in the medical field.

He also pointed out that Palestinian students would be treated according to the same standards applied to University of Jordan medical students, ensuring a top-tier training experience.

Dr. Youssef Asfour, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the American Arab University, praised the University of Jordan's distinguished reputation and extensive experience in medical education, describing the agreement as a key step in strengthening academic cooperation between the two universities.

Dr. Bara' Asfour affirmed that the partnership would play a crucial role in enhancing the clinical skills of the university's medical students, providing them with valuable training that will prepare them for the global medical workforce.

Under the terms of the agreement, medical students from the American Arab University will undergo clinical training in their fourth, fifth, and sixth years at the University of Jordan Hospital, across various departments. The training will follow the curriculum and academic standards set by the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Jordan, aimed at developing students' clinical skills in line with best medical practices.

The agreement also establishes a joint coordination committee to oversee the implementation of the program, ensuring the successful delivery of the training and the achievement of the program's objectives.
