Amman, March 25 (Petra) -- The Public Security Directorate's (PSD) Cybercrime Unit has apprehended four individuals operating social media accounts that allegedly stoked sectarian strife and racial tensions. According to a PSD spokesperson, the suspects, identified as administrators of four accounts within Jordan, were taken into custody following an investigation into inflammatory online content. They were subsequently referred to the Public Prosecutor's Office, which ordered their remand pending further inquiry. "Our specialized teams are actively monitoring online platforms for content that violates the law," the spokesperson stated. "We have identified additional accounts, both domestic and foreign-based, and warrants have been issued for the arrest of their operators." The PSD issued a stern warning, emphasizing that they will not tolerate online activities that threaten national unity or incite discord within Jordanian society.
