Irbid, March 25 (Petra) – Yarmouk University (YU) President Dr. Islam Massad and Director of Madrasati (My school) initiative Tala Sweis on Tuesday signed a joint memorandum of understanding (MoU) to improve the educational environment in the Kingdom's schools by activating the e-twinning program. Speaking at the signing ceremony, Masad noted cooperation with Madrasati Initiative will "positively" impact quality of the university's Faculty of Educational Sciences alumni and their ability to navigate modern technological developments by enhancing their digital skills and applying the best practices in the teaching process. Meanwhile, Sweis highlighted the importance of the e-twinning program in building bridges of schools' communication with universities locally and globally via an interactive e-platform. Sweis added that this effort contributes to enhance exchange of educational student-faculty members' expertise from different cultures, accelerating educational reform by training the YU faculty's students to improve their digital skills, strengthen the educational system, and promote values ??of cultural diversity and inclusiveness. The agreement also seeks aims to build teacher-based "professional" networks from different countries participating in the e-twinning project to develop their teaching methods and implement interactive workshops. Under the memo, both sides develop a "clear" action plan to integrate and employ the e-twinning program into the university courses, build partnerships and network with universities and educational institutions in Europe, and market the program online, mainly available social media platforms. //Petra// AG
