  8/ Petra, Royal Documentation Center Discuss Collaboration on Jordanian Historical Documents

Amman, March 24 (Petra) – Director General of the Royal Hashemite Documentation Center, Muhannad Mubaideen, and Director General of the Jordan News Agency (Petra), Fairouz Mubaideen, discussed on Monday avenues to enhance cooperation in publishing media materials related to historical documents that highlight various periods of Jordanian history.

During the meeting, attended by directors of the agency’s press departments, both sides explored strategies for disseminating Jordanian historical documents through news reports, feature stories, and data journalism to present information in an engaging manner. The discussion also covered the possibility of transforming media materials into videos for publication on Petra’s digital platforms to expand audience reach.

The two sides agreed to draft a memorandum of understanding to be signed at a later stage, aimed at publishing Jordanian historical documents through distinctive media content aligned with national objectives to preserve Jordan’s historical legacy and provide accurate, comprehensive information to the public.

Mubaideen commended Petra’s role in strengthening Jordanian media and its efforts in disseminating news and historical information that reflect the Kingdom’s rich past. He affirmed the Documentation Center’s commitment to providing necessary resources to support these initiatives and promote Jordanian historical awareness.

Mubaideen expressed Petra’s readiness to collaborate in showcasing Jordanian documents that illustrate the Kingdom’s history and development. She highlighted the importance of these documents in enhancing public understanding of Jordan’s heritage and fostering national awareness.

She noted that Petra is dedicated to developing compelling media content that effectively presents historical documents, leveraging modern technologies to expand access to information and encourage discussions on Jordan’s history.

Mubaideen reiterated the agency’s commitment to adopting advanced media technologies that align with global trends, enabling wider outreach both domestically and internationally and enhancing Jordan’s image on the regional and global stage.
