17/ Prime Ministry releases fourth periodic report on progress at sites prime minister visited
Amman, March 24 (Petra) -- The Prime Ministry has published the fourth periodic report detailing progress at sites visited by Prime Minister Jaafar Hassan during his inspection tours. The report covers 65 sites across 11 governorates from September 25, 2024, to March 23, 2025. According to the report, the identified sites required 133 development and improvement measures across several sectors: health, education vocational and technical training, agricultural and industrial production, social welfare, local services, youth and tourism. Out of the 133 measures, 76 have been completed, while work is ongoing on the remaining 57 improvement initiatives, which are expected to be finalised in the near future. Among the notable accomplishments in the Northern Badia of Mafraq Governorate is the commencement of a 1,250-square-meter factory expansion, which will create 250 job opportunities. A nursery is set to be built on an adjoining 150-square-meter plot. In Deir Alla, Balqa, expansion efforts have started at the Princess Iman Governmental Hospital to establish a dialysis unit and outpatient clinics spanning 1,190 square meters. The expansion is anticipated to be completed in the first half of this year after a four-year project. The hospital has also been equipped with specialised medical staff, new medical devices and a renovated central air conditioning system throughout its facilities. In the Northern Jordan Valley, Irbid, enhancements were made to children's facilities at the Wadi Al-Rayyan Women's Charitable Society, including comprehensive maintenance of the building and the provision of necessary equipment to accommodate more trainees in various professions. Efforts in Madaba have focused on increasing the use of solar energy at the Al Safi Clothing Factory in the Mleih district, resulting in the creation of 100 new jobs and improvements to telecommunications services. A park will also be established near the tourist corridor in Madaba in the second half of this year. In Karak, internal and external lighting systems were installed at Qatraneh Castle, alongside maintenance and rehabilitation work at the castle entrance and visitor centre. There will be general upkeep of the centre, landscaping, path planting, rainwater drainage and the installation of an irrigation system. In Ma'an, Al-Muhammadiyah Mixed Secondary School received air conditioning, computers and internet access. The transportation system now supports female teachers, the school's electrical capacity has been increased, the water well has been serviced, and water pumps have been installed. Additional maintenance work is set to be completed in the latter half of this year.
