13/ Israeli occupation army presses campaign in West Bank refugee camps

Ramallah, March 24 (Petra) – An Israeli military campaign in Jenin refugee camp in the north of the occupied West Bank continued for the 63rd day in a row on Monday, amid escalating evictions, home demolition and burning and families being displaced, according to Palestinian sources.

The occupation army sent reinforcements into Jenin refugee camp, where bulldozers destroyed streets and opened new roads as troops patrolled neighborhoods and drones circled the area, they said.

Some 21,000 people have been displaced from Jenin camp since the military operation began, and they sought refuge in Jenin city and nearby villages.

In Tulkarm, southwest of Jenin, an army offensive in the nearby Tulkarm refugee camp continued for the 57th consecutive day, and a similar campaign in Nur Shams refugee camp is in its 44th day, with escalating forced evictions and widespread destruction of infrastructure, according to local residents, local residents said.

The occupation army ordered residents of a dozen homes in the al-Rabaia neighborhood of Tulkarm camp to vacate by 10:30 AM today. It had carried out evictions in al-Muqata'a neighborhood, seizing homes and converting them into military posts, residents said.

Elsewhere in the West Bank, Israeli forces arrested 28 Palestinians during raids across various areas, according to the Palestinian Prisoners Club.
