Amman, March 24 (Petra) – The Government Tenders Department has announced a tender for the construction of a road leading to the new Muwaqqar Sports City.

In a statement issued Monday, the department invited Jordanian contractors with valid classification certificates in road construction and maintenance to participate. Interested contractors can obtain the tender invitation through the Government Tenders Department website or the Jordanian Electronic Procurement System (JONEPS).

The project involves constructing a 3,000-meter-long, 10-meter-wide road with one lane in each direction and shoulders, connecting Muwaqqar/Azraq Road to the sports city. Additionally, the project includes expanding a 600-meter section of the existing road to 10 meters in width, while the remaining 2,400-meter stretch will be newly constructed.

According to the tender documents, the work will also include diverting the existing valley, culvert installations, and implementing traffic safety measures such as road markings and protective works.
