39/ Jordan utterly condemns Israel's announcement of establishing special agency to displace Palestinians from Gaza
Amman, March 23 (Petra) – The Ministry of Foreign and Expatriate Affairs strongly condemned Israel's announcement regarding the establishment of a special agency aimed at forcibly displacing Palestinians under the guise of "voluntary departure" from the Gaza Strip. This comes in parallel with the Israeli Security Cabinet's approval of the separation of 13 illegal settler neighborhoods in the West Bank, paving the way for their "legalization" as colonial settlements. The Ministry emphasized that all Israeli measures targeting the Palestinian presence on their land are void, representing a blatant violation of international law and humanitarian law. These actions are part of practices amounting to the forcible displacement of Palestinians from their occupied land. The Ministry’s spokesperson, Sufian Qudah, reiterated the Kingdom’s absolute rejection and condemnation of the Israeli government's decision, which continues to violate international law and relevant UN resolutions, particularly Security Council Resolution 2334, which condemns all Israeli actions aimed at altering the demographic composition, character, and status of the Palestinian territory occupied since 1967, including East Jerusalem. He also referred to the International Court of Justice's advisory opinion, which confirmed the illegality of Israeli occupation, Israeli settlements, and its annexation of Palestinian occupied land, as well as its rejection of the displacement of Palestinians within their homeland or outside it. Qudah called on the international community to fulfill its legal and moral responsibilities, to pressure Israel to immediately stop its aggression on Gaza and its dangerous escalation in the occupied West Bank, and to meet the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people to establish their independent state with sovereignty over the June 4, 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital. //Petra// AF
