15/ Israeli Forces Arrest 14 Palestinians amid rising settler violence

Ramallah, June 30 (Petra) – Israeli occupation forces on Monday arrested 14 Palestinians, including former prisoners, during raids across the occupied West Bank coinciding with escalating violence by Jewish settlers, the Palestinian Prisoners Society said.

The search-and-arrest raids took place in Hebron, Nablus, Qalqilya, Tubas, and Ramallah, it said.

Israeli army bulldozers also demolished homes and agricultural facilities in the town of Aqraba near Nablus in the north of the West Bank.

Aqraba Mayor Salah Jaber said troops brought in two bulldozers to a site near the town to destroy property of local farmers in ongoing attacks on Palestinian communities.

In the south of the West Bank, diehard Jewish settlers assaulted Palestinian farms, uprooting about 150 olive trees near Susya village in Masafer Yatta, south of Hebron. Local residents said the attack is the latest in stepped up settler violence aimed at displacing Palestinians and depriving them of their livelihoods.
