Amman, June 29 (Petra) – The King Hussein Cancer Foundation (KHCF) and ABB Jordan Limited have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) aimed at supporting the Foundation’s Goodwill Fund, which helps cover treatment costs for underprivileged cancer patients at the King Hussein Cancer Center (KHCC).

The agreement was signed by KHCF Director General Nisreen Qatamesh and ABB Jordan Limited Chairman of the Board of Directors Tariq Awwad.

In a statement issued on Sunday, Qatamesh praised ABB Jordan Limited for its commitment to social responsibility, describing the cooperation as an embodiment of humanitarian values and a significant contribution to the Foundation’s mission to provide comprehensive cancer care.

Awwad expressed ABB Jordan Limited’s pride in partnering with KHCF, underscoring the company’s dedication to supporting initiatives that improve community health and provide treatment opportunities for patients in need. He emphasized that contributing to humanitarian causes is a collective duty and affirmed ABB Jordan’s commitment to alleviating the suffering of cancer patients.

Established in 2003, the Goodwill Fund assists cancer patients who lack financial resources and have no other means of covering treatment costs. The average cost of treating a single patient without complications is estimated at around JD30,000. The Fund provides support to patients irrespective of nationality, age, or gender.
