6/ PSUT's Students Shine at Regional Leadership Summit in Cairo
Amman, June 18 (Petra) -- A student delegation from Princess Sumaya University for Technology (PSUT) proudly represented Jordan at the Student Leaders Summit, hosted by the American University in Cairo over two days. The event brought together student leaders from more than 10 universities across 9 Arab countries, highlighting PSUT’s growing influence on both regional and international stages. The PSUT team, led by Student Council President Khaled Mahasneh and Vice President Tareq Al-Homsi, took part in a series of interactive sessions and workshops. These focused on empowering student governance, revitalizing university clubs, creating sustainable student policies, and fostering innovation and engagement across campus life. In parallel, PSUT students Seemaza Rostom and Tala Ayasrah, serving as judges in the summit’s regional debate championship, added to the university’s strong presence. Their selection reflected confidence in the university's leadership in youth dialogue and critical thinking. University President, Prof. Wejdan Abu Elhaija, emphasized the value of such forums for cross-cultural learning and the exchange of best practices. She noted that participation in regional events not only builds student capacity but also enhances their awareness of shared regional challenges and solutions. Dean of Student Affairs, Dr. Rami Salem, affirmed the university’s commitment to supporting these enriching experiences, recognizing their role in sharpening students’ skills and expanding their perspectives. The PSUT delegation concluded their visit by receiving a commemorative plaque from the American University in Cairo, an acknowledgment of their university’s continued contributions to youth development and regional cooperation.
