  21/ 163,629 students to sit first Tawjihi exam Thursday-Ministry 

Amman, June 18 (Petra) - The first session of the 2025 Secondary Education Certificate Examination (Tawjihi) is set to begin Thursday, with the participation of 209,871 students, including 147,461 regular participants and 62,410 private test-takers.

163,629 students are scheduled to sit the exam in its first session, in the subject of Islamic Education, using a unified exam paper sheet for all academic and vocational education streams, according to a ministry statement Wednesday.

The exam will be held in 826 schools across the Kingdom's education directorates, while the number of correction centers stood at 38 nationwide.

The ministry also announced 162 inmates will take the exam at Jordan's correctional, rehabilitation and juvenile centers at 15 sites.

Additionally, 72 participants will sit the exam at the King Hussein Cancer Center, while 658 students with disabilities will participate.

The first session will begin at 10:00 a.m., while the second will start at 1:00 p.m.

In press remarks, Secretary-General of the Ministry of Education for Educational Affairs, Dr. Nawaf Ajarmah, stated the ministry's staff worked to create an "appropriate" exam environment, noting preparations also took handled needs of students with disabilities, in terms of easy access to the exam halls.

Ajarmah added that the ministry has set up operations rooms to receive feedback and inquiries from students, teachers, parents, and all exam-administering staff.
