2/ Mild Weather Continues Across Most Regions, Warmer in Jordan Valley and Aqaba
Amman, June 4 (Petra) -- Mild temperatures are forecast to prevail across most regions on Wednesday, while conditions will remain relatively hot in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba, according to the Jordan Meteorological Department. Low-altitude clouds are expected to appear over the northern and central parts of the Kingdom. Winds will be moderate and northwesterly, occasionally picking up speed and stirring dust, particularly in desert areas. The department’s daily report indicated that temperatures will rise slightly on Thursday, reaching seasonal averages for this time of year. Weather will remain moderate in most areas and hot in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba. Winds will maintain a northwesterly flow at moderate speeds. Similar conditions are expected to persist through Friday and Saturday, with moderate temperatures prevailing across the highlands and plains, and hotter weather continuing in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba. Winds are forecast to remain moderate and northwesterly. Forecast high and low temperatures for today are expected to range between 28 C and 17 C in East Amman, and 26 C and 15 C in West Amman. In the northern highlands, temperatures will range from 23 C to 12 C, while in the Sharah highlands they will vary between 24 C and 13 C. Desert areas are forecast to see temperatures between 30 C and 14 C, and the plains between 27 C and 17 C. In the northern Jordan Valley, temperatures will range from 34 C to 20 C, rising to 37 C and 24 C in the southern Jordan Valley. The Dead Sea is expected to record temperatures between 36 C and 22 C, while the Gulf of Aqaba will see highs of 37 C and lows of 23 C. //Petra// RZ
