Amman, June 3 (Petra) – At least one Israeli soldier was killed and two others injured Tuesday evening in what Israeli media described as a "serious security incident" in the Shujaiya neighborhood in eastern Gaza City.

According to Channel 12, the Israeli Air Force quickly deployed aerial support for ground forces engaged in the area.

Reports indicated that an Israeli military unit was targeted by an explosive device dropped from a drone, resulting in several casualties, including one critically injured. Intense armed clashes reportedly broke out between Israeli forces and Palestinian resistance fighters in the area.

Social media platforms circulated images claiming to show a helicopter evacuating injured soldiers from Gaza to Ichilov Hospital following the incident.
