  24/ Jordan, Syria sign cooperation MoU to train diplomatic, public staff 

Amman, June 3 (Petra) – Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Ayman Safadi on Tuesday received a delegation from the Syrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates.

Speaking at the meeting, Safadi affirmed the "deep-rooted, solid and brotherly" bilateral relations, noting keenness to enhance joint cooperation in various fields, under guidance of His Majesty King Abdullah II and Syrian President Ahmad al-Shara.

During the delegation's visit, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Dr. Nancy Nimroqa and Secretary-General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Majed Qatraneh attended the signing ceremony of a cooperation memorandum (MoU) aimed to train diplomatic staff and employees of public sector institutions.

The memo was signed by Jordan Institute of Diplomacy (JID) and Syrian Diplomatic Institute, two bodies affiliated to the two countries' foreign ministries.

JID Director, Haifa Khrisheh, and Head of the Syrian Diplomatic Institute, Yasser Jundi, signed the memo.
