13/ Gaza Death Toll Reaches 54,510 Following Israeli Airstrikes

Gaza, June 3 (Petra) – The Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip reported Tuesday that 40 people were killed and 208 injured in the past 24 hours amid ongoing Israeli airstrikes.

In its daily update, the Ministry stated that numerous victims remain trapped under rubble or on roads inaccessible to ambulance and civil defense teams due to continued hostilities.

Since the onset of the Israeli aggression on October 7, 2023, the total number of fatalities has reached 54,510, with 124,901 wounded. This includes 4,240 deaths and 12,860 injuries recorded since the resumption of military operations on March 18.

Separately, the Government Media Office in Gaza said Israeli forces committed a new massacre near an aid distribution center in Rafah Governorate on Tuesday, killing 27 civilians suffering from starvation and injuring more than 90 others.

The Office reported that over the past eight days, the death toll due to starvation in the Rafah and Wadi Gaza Bridge areas has climbed to 102, with 490 injured.

It called on the United Nations, the Security Council, and international human rights organizations to fulfill their moral and legal obligations by taking urgent action to pressure for the unconditional opening of official crossings and to facilitate the delivery of humanitarian aid through UN agencies and neutral international organizations.
