Amman, July 31 -- The third Women’s Leadership Training Program concluded on Thursday, organized by the Jordan Armed Forces' Women’s Affairs Directorate in cooperation with UN Women in Jordan. The course is part of national efforts to empower women in leadership roles within the security and military sectors, in alignment with UN Security Council Resolution 1325 on Women, Peace, and Security. The training included participants from the Jordan Armed Forces, Public Security Directorate, Ministry of Interior, and the National Center for Security and Crisis Management, reflecting the state's commitment to institutional integration in advancing women’s participation in leadership and decision-making. The course forms part of the Armed Forces’ broader strategy to build female leadership capacity and expand their influence within key institutions. The partnership with UN Women plays a critical role in shaping specialized training programs that enhance performance and leadership readiness. Over the week-long program, participants engaged in sessions on strategic planning, effective leadership, and other topics relevant to security and military work environments. Certificates were distributed at the closing ceremony, recognizing participants' commitment to professional development. The Program is held regularly under the National Action Plan for implementing Resolution 1325, aiming to build a strong cadre of women leaders capable of contributing to policy-making and decision-making.
