38/ Jordan Evacuates Eighth Group of Gazan Children for Medical Treatment Under Royal Initiative
Amman, July 30 (Petra) –– The Jordan Armed Forces–Arab Army on Wednesday carried out the eighth medical evacuation of children from Gaza as part of the ongoing "Jordanian Medical Corridor" initiative aimed at easing the humanitarian suffering of Palestinians in the war-torn enclave.
The latest group includes 34 patients and 95 accompanying family members. Of these, seven children will receive treatment at Jordan’s King Hussein Cancer Center, accompanied by 19 of their relatives. The remaining children and their families are being transferred to partner countries Spain, Turkey, the United States, and France for continued medical care.
The arrival and transfer process was conducted in coordination with the Ministry of Health and the World Health Organization, and carried out with full medical oversight to ensure the highest standards of care.
Since the initiative began in March of this year, Jordan has received a total of 379 individuals from Gaza, including 119 patients and 260 accompanying family members. Evacuations have been carried out via both land and air transport, depending on medical and logistical needs.
The medical evacuation efforts, launched under Royal directives, reflect Jordan’s unwavering commitment to supporting the people of Gaza and alleviating their ongoing humanitarian crisis.
