Amman, July 30 (Petra) – Minister of Government Communication Mohammad Momani met with representatives of the General Association of Advertising and Marketing Companies in the Kingdom.

The delegation, which included Association President Falah Saghir, Deputy Association President Mohammad Nabulsi and members Zaid Nasser and Omar Armouti, presented the Association's demands and ways to cooperate with it, in addition to its efforts to enhance its role in serving advertising and marketing companies and institutions.

Momani emphasised the importance of the advertising and marketing services sector as a fundamental pillar in stimulating economic activity and enhancing the competitiveness of institutions locally and regionally.

He pointed to the importance of enhancing the efficiency of this sector so that it can be an effective partner in achieving Jordan's economic vision, in addition to strengthening partnerships between the public and private sectors.

Sagheer emphasised during the meeting the role of the Association, its mission, its activities and its local and international cooperation to stimulate the sector.

He noted that there are approximately 2,486 companies licensed to conduct advertising and publicity and that 375 companies are considered to be practicing advertising.

The attendees affirmed their readiness to cooperate with relevant authorities to participate in national efforts to promote and advertise public and official occasions, as well as cultural and economic events, both locally and internationally.
