Amman, July 27 (Petra) The General Union of Voluntary Societies (GUVS) has strongly condemned misleading campaigns circulating on some social media platforms that attempt to discredit Jordan’s principled stance on Gaza and Palestine.

In a statement issued Sunday, Chairman of the Union's Administrative Board, Amer Khawaldeh, stressed that such malicious campaigns will only strengthen Jordanians’ unwavering commitment to their historic positions and reinforce their determination to continue political and humanitarian support for the Palestinian people.

Khawaldeh emphasized the vital role of national media in exposing misinformation and countering false narratives, calling for transparent and professional communication of Jordan’s efforts at both political and humanitarian levels.

He noted that Jordan’s official actions reflect the Kingdom’s longstanding commitment to the Palestinian cause, expressing the Union’s pride in these efforts, which embody the spirit of solidarity and charitable work in the country.

Separately, the Jordan Engineers Association (JEA) praised the Kingdom’s pioneering and noble role in supporting Gaza, particularly through land and air relief convoys organized under the supervision of the Jordan Hashemite Charity Organization (JHCO).

In a statement, the association noted that Jordan was among the first countries to defy the blockade and confront starvation and genocide with a bold humanitarian, moral, and political position.

The Engineers Association affirmed that these relief efforts, carried out in full coordination with the JHCO and the Jordan Armed Forces, reflect the Kingdom’s steadfast historical commitment to the Palestinian cause and the deep fraternal bonds between the Jordanian and Palestinian peoples.

The association also lauded the dedication of Jordanian relief workers and announced its full readiness to provide technical and logistical support through its engineering expertise. It urged the public to rally around these vital national efforts.
