Amman, July 27 (Petra) – The Cabinet has decided to allocate all proceeds from auctions of special vehicle license plate numbers regardless of their coding conducted by the Drivers and Vehicles Licensing Department to support the University Student Fund, starting from the upcoming academic semester.

This allocation comes in addition to the existing budgetary support for the fund, which was increased by 50 percent in this year’s national budget to reach JD30 million.

The decision was made during a Cabinet session held Saturday, chaired by Prime Minister Jaafar Hassan, in which the Council also approved amendments to the vehicle plate regulations.
