2/ Hot, Dry Conditions to Continue with Slight Relief Ahead

Amman, July 27 (Petra)-- The weather on Sunday is expected to remain dry and hot across most parts of the Kingdom, with extremely high temperatures prevailing in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba.

Winds will be moderate and northwesterly, occasionally becoming active and raising dust in desert areas.

In its daily report, the Jordan Meteorological Department advises the public to avoid direct exposure to sunlight, particularly during peak afternoon hours. It also warns of the potential for reduced horizontal visibility in desert regions during the afternoon due to dust stirred up by active winds.

On Monday, a slight drop in temperatures is anticipated. The weather will be relatively hot over the highlands and plains, while remaining very hot in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba. Northwesterly winds will persist, moderate in speed and occasionally active, especially in desert areas.

By Tuesday, temperatures are expected to decrease slightly again, returning to seasonal averages. Most regions will experience typical summer weather, while the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba will remain hot. Winds will continue from the northwest, moderate to occasionally active.

Wednesday’s conditions will be largely unchanged, with typical summer weather across much of the country and continued heat in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba. Winds will be northwesterly, moderate in speed and active at times.
