2/ Stable Summer Weather Across Kingdom Through Thursday
Amman, July 8 (Petra) -- Temperatures are expected to hover around seasonal averages this week, with typical summer conditions prevailing across most regions through Thursday. The weather will remain relatively hot in the Badia and hot in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba, according to the Meteorological Department. On Tuesday, moderate northwesterly winds are forecast to become active at intervals, while low-altitude clouds may appear in the northern parts of the country. Similar weather patterns will continue on Wednesday and Thursday, with no significant changes expected in temperature or wind conditions. A slight rise in temperatures is anticipated on Friday, bringing relatively hot conditions to most regions and hotter weather to the Badia, the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba. Winds will continue to blow from the northwest at moderate speeds. Maximum and minimum temperatures on Tuesday are forecast to range between 33 C and 20 C in eastern Amman, and 31 C to 18 C in western Amman. In the northern highlands, temperatures will vary between 29 C and 17 C, while in the Sharah highlands they will range from 30 C to 16 C. The Badia is expected to see highs of 37 C and lows of 21 C. In the plains, temperatures will range between 33 C and 20 C. Hotter conditions are forecast for the Jordan Valley and southern areas. The northern Jordan Valley will see temperatures between 40 C and 24 C, while the southern Jordan Valley will range from 42 C to 27 C.
