11/ Two Gazan Children Return Home After Completing Treatment in Jordan

Amman, July 8 (Petra) -- Two children from the Gaza Strip have returned home after successfully completing medical treatment in Jordanian hospitals, accompanied by five family members, via the King Hussein Bridge on Tuesday, according to a statement issued by the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army.

The children had arrived in the Kingdom through coordination between the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army, the Ministry of Health, and the World Health Organization, where they received comprehensive medical care as part of Jordan’s ongoing humanitarian efforts.

This marks the second group of children returning to Gaza under the "Jordanian Medical Corridor" initiative. Seventeen children were previously repatriated on May 13 following treatment in Jordanian hospitals. Since medical evacuation operations began in early March, dozens of children from Gaza have continued their treatment journey in the Kingdom.

The "Jordanian Medical Corridor" is one of several initiatives Jordan has implemented since the onset of the war on Gaza, aimed at alleviating humanitarian suffering. These efforts include the deployment of field hospitals, specialized medical clinics, and humanitarian aid convoys delivering both medical and food supplies to the besieged Strip.

Jordanian authorities have emphasized that all patients and their companions are returned to Gaza upon completing treatment, ensuring that Jordan’s medical support does not contribute to the displacement of Palestinians from their land and reaffirms Jordan’s steadfast stance in supporting the Palestinian people and preserving their right to remain on their territory.

Medical reports confirmed that the children have successfully completed all phases of treatment and were provided with the highest levels of medical care, while their families received suitable accommodation throughout their stay.
