10/ Integrity Caravan Visits Orphans Foundation, Epidemics Center

Amman, July 8 (Petra) -- A delegation from the Integrity Caravan visited the Orphans Fund Development Foundation and the National Center for Epidemics and Disease Control on Tuesday as part of activities for the second cycle of the National Integrity Index 2024–2025, implemented by the Integrity and Anti-Corruption Commission in partnership with the Al-Hayat Center (Rased).

The delegation was received by Abdul Rahim Hazaymeh, Director General of the Orphans Fund Development Foundation, along with Assistant Director General Imad Khreisat, several department heads, and the institution’s integrity and transparency team.

The meeting discussed mechanisms for carrying out the Index’s survey and explored opportunities for joint cooperation to support national efforts to embed principles of integrity and transparency in the institutional work environment.

Hazaymeh reaffirmed the Foundation’s full commitment to cooperating with the Caravan team and providing all necessary support to ensure the initiative’s success, noting its importance in strengthening a culture of integrity and improving the quality of services provided to beneficiaries.

He added that the Foundation is keen to reinforce good governance and integrity in all aspects of its operations, in line with the Royal directives, by developing the work environment, applying effective management systems, and adopting precise performance measurement standards for continuous evaluation to achieve institutional goals efficiently and effectively.

The Caravan team presented an overview of the National Integrity Index’s methodology, which relies 40 percent on results from field and online surveys of employees and service recipients to identify strengths and areas for improvement, thereby enhancing performance efficiency and public trust in government institutions.

The delegation also visited the National Center for Epidemics and Disease Control to follow up on the integrity, transparency, and institutional justice standards and the level of commitment to implementing them on the ground.

Adel Balbisi, Head of the Center, stressed the Center’s full readiness to cooperate with all measures adopted by the initiative, given its significance in bolstering public trust in government institutions and improving and developing the quality of services provided. He affirmed the Center’s commitment to implementing the findings of the field and online surveys.

The delegation reviewed the Index’s work mechanisms for its second cycle and outlined how strengths and improvement opportunities are identified through focused, in-person and online surveys targeting employees and service recipients, with the survey results accounting for 40 percent of the institutions’ final evaluation.
