40/ Anbar University delegation visits University of Jordan to boost academic cooperation
Amman, July 7 (Petra) – A delegation from Iraq’s Anbar University visited the University of Jordan on Monday and met with Vice President for Humanities Faculties Nahed Emaish, in a bid to strengthen academic cooperation and exchange scientific and scholarly expertise. The visit is part of a series of official meetings held by the Iraqi delegation with several public universities across Jordan. Discussions focused on activating the provisions of an existing memorandum of understanding in the fields of scientific, academic, and research collaboration laying the foundation for a genuine partnership. The two sides also explored avenues for cooperation in academic publishing across various human sciences disciplines. The meeting addressed mechanisms for forming joint research teams to explore pressing humanitarian issues, organizing academic conferences and specialized seminars that would facilitate knowledge exchange, and identifying key challenges facing higher education institutions. Additional topics included the exchange of academic visits and the creation of joint teaching opportunities under a "visiting professor" program. Emaish expressed the University of Jordan’s readiness to expand cooperation with Anbar University in a practical and meaningful way that enhances the exchange of expertise and serves the interests of both institutions. She stressed the importance of developing a concrete action plan and forming a joint committee to identify achievable areas of collaboration and assess progress on the ground.
