Jerash, July 7 (Petra) – Technical teams from the Greater Jerash Municipality have begun beautification efforts at the main entrances to Jerash Governorate and its city center, starting with the southern entrance. The work is being carried out in coordination with the directorates of agriculture, public works, and the Joint Services Council.

The initiative includes clearing waste, debris, and solid materials along the roadsides in preparation for the next phases of the beautification project, which aims to reflect the historical and cultural richness of Jerash and ensure the city is presented in its best form for residents and visitors alike.

Jerash Governor Malik Khreisat stressed the importance of fostering a culture of public responsibility in preserving shared spaces, noting that maintaining the city’s image is a collective duty shared by both citizens and officials. He emphasized Jerash’s status as one of Jordan’s leading tourist destinations and a symbol of national pride.
