Amman, July 7 (Petra) – The Ministry of Local Administration on Monday announced the results of a nationwide performance evaluation of all 104 municipalities across Jordan, revealing significant disparities in municipal service delivery and operational efficiency. According to the results, 39 municipalities scored below 50 percent based on set evaluation criteria. The overall scores ranged from a low of 29.5 percent to a high of 85 percent. Only 11 municipalities achieved scores above 65 percent, while the remaining 93 fell below that threshold. The evaluation was carried out by specialized teams comprising representatives from the Greater Amman Municipality, the Ministry of Public Works and Housing, and the Ministry of Environment, as well as retired experts from the Ministry of Local Administration and joint services councils. A technical review committee was also formed to ensure quality and fairness in the assessment.
