  14/ Jordan Nursing Council, Chinese Embassy Explore Cooperation in Digital Health, AI

Amman, July 7 (Petra) -- The Jordan Nursing Council on Monday held discussions with representatives of the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Amman to explore avenues of cooperation in healthcare, nursing education, academic exchange, and the integration of advanced technologies, particularly artificial intelligence, into healthcare systems.

Secretary-General of the Council, Hani Nawafleh, met with Cheng Yongru, Economic and Commercial Attaché at the Chinese Embassy, and Chen Xiangguo, First Secretary at the Embassy, to discuss opportunities for partnership and knowledge exchange.

Nawafleh underscored that the Council, guided by its strategic vision and the directives of Her Royal Highness Princess Muna Al Hussein, President of the Council, prioritizes the advancement of nursing education and practice, as well as collaboration with leading international experiences in the field.

Cheng Yongru commended the Jordan Nursing Council for its leadership in advancing the nursing profession both nationally and regionally, noting the Council’s progressive vision aligns with global trends toward smart healthcare and digital innovation.

He affirmed China’s interest in establishing practical partnerships with Jordanian nursing institutions, particularly in the areas of artificial intelligence and digital transformation, to enhance healthcare delivery and capacity-building.

At the conclusion of the meeting, Nawafleh presented Cheng Yongru with the Council’s shield in recognition of his efforts to strengthen cooperation between Jordan and China in the fields of health and nursing.
