Amman, July 6 (Petra) – Leaders of the BRICS nations on Sunday called for an immediate and unconditional ceasefire in the Gaza Strip to end the war, now in its 22nd month.

In a joint declaration issued during their summit in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, the BRICS states urged all parties to "engage in good-faith negotiations to achieve an immediate, durable, and unconditional ceasefire and a full withdrawal of Israeli forces from the Gaza Strip."
