Ramallah, July 6 (Petra) – A Palestinian man was killed and two others were injured on Sunday evening during an Israeli military raid in the village of Salem, east of Nablus in the northern occupied West Bank.

Adli Ishtayeh, head of the village council, said Israeli forces stormed the area and surrounded two homes amid heavy gunfire directed at residents and houses.

The Palestinian Red Crescent Society confirmed in a statement that its teams received the body of a slain Palestinian from inside one of the besieged homes. The victim’s identity has not yet been determined.

The statement added that two others were wounded in the raid, including a 62-year-old man who was transported by ambulance for treatment. The second injured individual was shot and subsequently detained by Israeli forces.
