Irbid, January 23 (Petra) - Yarmouk University (YU) made "distinguished" results at the local and global levels in the Times World University Rankings 2025, to be within the 1001-1200 range.

According to its statement Thursday, YU ranked 2nd locally in the field of "Educational Studies" to be among the best 401-500 universities globally in this area and 2nd locally in "Humanities and Literature" within the 601+ category worldwide.

In a related context, YU ranked 3rd locally in "Social Sciences" to be among the best 801-1000 universities globally in this area.

In the fields of medicine, health, economics, business and computer science, the university ranked among the best 601-800 universities globally.

As for the engineering domain, the university ranked in the 801-1000 category globally, and the university was placed in the 1001+ category globally in physical sciences.

In a statement Thursday, the university president, Dr. Islam Massad, stressed its "continuous" efforts and vision to advance its academic programs by developing its educational and research path in the health, humanitarian and engineering fields, and enhancing its cooperation and openness to "prestigious" international academic institutions.

Massad noted this effort contributes to conducting "solid" scientific research for publishing in global databases and implementing joint research-based projects.

Based on its strategic plan, he said the university "always" looks forward to improving its position in global rankings by giving accreditation, quality and classification files the "utmost" attention and orchestrating efforts of its academic, administrative and student staff, in a bid to develop performance.
