19/ Children's Organization Launches Awareness Campaigns on Parental Care
Amman, Jan. 23 (Petra) - The War Child organization has launched a series of awareness campaigns on the importance of parental care, collaborating with two community development centers affiliated with the Ministry of Social Development in Amman and Mafraq. These campaigns aim to highlight the significance of parental care interventions and their positive impact on children and society, according to a War Child statement released Thursday. Mohammad Awamreh, War Child's director in Jordan, stated that the campaigns included community meetings focused on the importance of parental care and its societal impact. These sessions were complemented by interactive theatrical performances that realistically depicted the importance of parental care programs and interventions and their benefits for children. Awamreh emphasized that War Child's parental care interventions are grounded in scientifically validated methodologies. Extensive research and experimentation have been conducted to measure their impact and effectiveness. He highlighted the parental care program as a key component of the organization's broader efforts to ensure a safe environment for children and emphasized the crucial partnership with the Ministry of Social Development. The Dutch Van Leer Foundation supports these activities. The foundation aims to support children, caregivers, and communities worldwide. The initiative is implemented in collaboration with the Ministry of Social Development through four local community development centers in Irbid, Mafraq, Zarqa, and Amman. //Petra// AO
