46/ JD208,000 allocated to Mafraq youth hostel, Prince Ali sports complex development projects

Mafraq, Jan. 21 (Petra)– The Mafraq Youth Directorate has allocated JD208,000 from Mafraq Governorate Council’s budget for the current year to complete the construction of Mafraq Youth Hostel and to develop the Prince Ali bin Al-Hussein Sports Complex.

Issa Harahsheh, Director of Mafraq Youth Directorate, said that this initiative aligns with the Directorate’s efforts to support youth and sports projects in Mafraq Governorate (nortern Jordan). He noted that the completion rate of the Mafraq Youth Hostel project has reached 90%, with JD83,000 allocated from the Governorate Council’s budget to finalize the project. This facility is expected to mark a significant shift in the Directorate's approach to serving the youth sector.

Harahsheh told the Jordan News Agency (Petra) on Tuesday that 125,000 has been earmarked for developing the Prince Ali bin Al-Hussein Sports Complex, specifically for replacing the natural grass on the stadium field with artificial turf.

Additionally, Harahsheh highlighted the relocation of the Mafraq Youth Directorate from its current premises to its new location behind the newly constructed Mafraq Municipality building. He also mentioned the recent merger of several youth centers, including the integration of the Khalidiya Women’s Youth Center into its new location with the Khalidiya Youth Center and the merging of the Khalidiya Women’s Youth Center with the North Badiya Youth Center. Furthermore, the Dafiana Women’s Youth Center has been merged with the Dafiana Youth Center. Meanwhile, the furniture from the Dajaniya Youth Center has been transferred to the Rahab Youth Center until an alternative location is found in the coming months.
